WHAT TO EXPECT STUDENT CLINIC:
The student clinic is a time for learning; there is always a clinic supervisor present to help answer any questions you may have. The clinic supervisor will "check-in" to evaluate the student and to ensure the client is getting the type of bodywork he or she needs.
First-level interns have completed training in basic skills and Swedish massage and have completed proficiency testing.
Second-level interns have developed deep-tissue and palpation skills and demonstrate advanced capabilities in body contact and therapeutic presence.
Student interns have learned the profession’s code of ethics and pledged themselves to the highest standards. However, we want this to be a pleasant experience. if you are not satisfied with the work you are receiving or have a need that remains unmet, ask the student to get a supervisor. The supervisor will be glad to assist you.
Feedback and evaluation forms are important for both the client and the student. A portion of the student's grade comes from your evaluation, so please take the time to fill it out candidly and thoroughly.
Massages are performed in private rooms. We also have a large treatment room for couples or groups.
